Is it safe?
Come on. Would we really put you in harm’s way? When guests follow our safety rules and listen to the instructions from our Axeperts, axe throwing can be a very safe activity. Just like darts, it is important to always be aware of your surroundings. Never throw an axe if another person is in the lane. Only one thrower per lane is allowed. All other customers must be out of the throwing lanes and behind our safety wall. It is important to be safe when handling our axes as they are rather sharp.
Do I need a group?
To reserve, you need a minimum of a group of 4 and a maximum of 15.
Age restrictions?
To join the fun, you must be 18 years old or 13 years old with a parent’s signature on our release form.
Do you teach us?
Of course we teach you how to throw! Every group is assigned an Axepert for their entire session to teach you all of the ins and outs of axe throwing. Safety, scoring, throwing and competition rules will all be covered. Our coaches are there for your enjoyment and your safety. Gratuity is appreciated!
How heavy are the axes?
Our axes generally range from 1/2 pound to 1-1/2 pounds. Most are about the same weight as your average hammer.
Can I bring my own axe?
No, you cannot bring your own axe, as it may not meet standards and/or regulations.
Do I have to fill out a waiver?
Our lawyer and insurance guy say yes.
Do I have to wear a plaid shirt?
No, it’s totally optional. But we do require closed-toe shoes.
Do I have to play?
You don’t want to throw and just hang with your friends and watch? That’s cool as long as your party has 8 paying axe throwers. The maximum occupancy in the room is 12.
Will you do leagues?
Once all things are right in the world, we will roll out our leagues. Until then, we need to stick with small groups that are of the same household or are comfortable around each other.
